We enjoy some of Scotland's best weather!
Girvan has a reputation for warm winters and pleasant summers so residents can fully enjoy our unique seaside location
Convenient to Glasgow yet by the sea
We are easily connected to Glasgow via the new M8, M74 and M77 interchange so residents can enjoy seeing their residents enjoying a seaside life
We are situated right on the seashore in South Ayrshire with views out to the spectacular Ailsa Craig, Arran and the Mull of Kintyre. The sunsets across this wide panorama of sea are some of the most spectacular displays in the UK. These are greatly enjoyed by our residents when the long summer evenings fill the rooms with light from the sea and the surrounding beaches. The area is noted for its long summers, mild winters and long hours of sunshine. The benefits of our unique location go beyond sea views and include encouraging residents to enjoy the good air quality that abounds away from urban areas. When the weather is suited which is more often here than in other parts of Scotland, residents can enjoy the gardens and also join in outdoor activities which are provide by our Activity Co-Ordinators. Weather permitting we will hold BBQ`S or even just have lunch or dinner out in our garden. The soothing quality of the gentle waves is a tonic that cannot hardly be bettered and it is pleasant to know that many of our residents have always wanted to live by the sea have now reached their desires. Girvan is easily connected to Glasgow via the A77 and an 1 hour and 30 minutes drive, whilst Dumfriess is a similar distance and Stranraer is only 45 minutes by car. Girvan is well connected by public transport. Unusually for a more remote location it has a new hospital to care for our residents.
